Bucharest, January …, 2023. Last year Leader Team Broker consolidated its position as a key player on the niche insurance market in Romania and Europe after a 25% increase in the total premiums value- up to 9.5 million euros, a new record figure in the company’s history. In 2022 the company developed its portfolio in the area of ​​professional liability, Cyber ​​and health policies and continued its expansion on the European market, being present in 22 EU countries. For 2023 the company aims to continue the development in the liability, health and property insurance segment, to launch new health and liability insurance products and to bring three large international insurers into its portfolio: Allianz Worldwide Care, April International and Chubb.

„In an economic climate eroded by the war in Ukraine and the galloping inflation that considerably reduced the purchasing power of customers, the insurance market in Romania, as a whole, moved well and registered a significant growth in 2022. Leader Team Broker concluded last year with total premiums in value of 9.5 million euros, again a record figure for us in recent years. We grew organically by 25%, given that our portfolio was built predominantly on non-motor insurance and on the segment of professional liability, Cyber ​​and health insurance policies. These were, moreover, our best-selling policies in 2022 and Cyber ​​insurance was, once again, the <<star>> of the year”, declared Răzvan Rusu, founder of Leader Team Broker.

In the local profile market, the main trend in 2022 remained focused on the automotive segment, but an increase in interest in health, professional liability and travel insurance policies also became visible.

New health insurance products and new international partners in 2023

For 2023 Leader Team Broker aims to strengthen the company’s position on the local market in the liability, health and property insurance segments, as well as expanding the portfolio with new health insurance products, through partnerships with three large international insurers.

„The concerns of 2022, respectively, the economic crisis or the war in Ukraine that can degenerate at any moment remain topical, but we anticipate that the local insurance market will have a new year of growth if things do not deteriorate very seriously. We expect sustained growth in other segments besides automotive, such as liability or health insurance. Leader Team will continue to strengthen its market position in the niches in which it is already present with a special focus on health insurance. We will bring with us three major insurers known worldwide, namely Allianz Worldwide Care, April International and Chubb together with which we will create and launch new health and liability insurance products suited to the needs of each client. We also expect an increase in requests for liability insurance in different fields of activity, as more and more companies need this type of insurance and are looking for solutions in the market. Leader Team Broker sells insurance policies in 22 EU countries

As part of the international development strategy Leader Team Broker continued in 2022 the expansion on the European market, thus reaching 22 EU member countries in which it distributes policies including Poland, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Croatia, Lithuania, Estonia, Spain, Portugal, etc. In these countries, the brokerage company is present mainly with IT liability insurance, but also for other areas, such as the marine industry or aviation.

Amazon seller insurance is also one of the most sought-after products in the European market, with Leader Team being among the first EU brokers to introduce Amazon insurance in 2021 and to update it in 2022 in line with the new requirements of the American retailer. Health insurance is another product that the company successfully distributes in Europe.

For 2023 Leader Team wants to continue expanding in Europe and strengthen its position in the countries where it is present, in all segments and with all types of insurance listed above.
